I resisted Facebook for a long time. I thought it would be another time waster in addition to all of the blogs I read and the mile-long bookmark folder filled with websites of interest. A good friend of mine kept the peer pressure on after I set up my account and did nothing with it for months. I finally caved in and started posting. Now I don't know what I would do without it.

Not only have I reconnected with friends and family across the world, but it has been a great tool creating the Feasting Fort Collins fan page and being able to connect to readers from all over. With the support of the sponsors of this site (go check them out!), I've had the opportunity to have some fun with people by holding fan contests. Fan #200 and the friend that referred them to the fan page each got a gift certificate to El Monte (the restaurant of their choice). Fan #300 went to Fish. Fan #300's referring friend asked if I'd like to join them at Lucile's. Completely flattered that I'd been asked, I was excited to go on this dining adventure.

I'd been wanting to review Lucile's for a very long time. A well-known unique breakfast spot that people rave about, it was high on my list to get to. Lucile's is tucked neatly in the Old Town neighborhood on Meldrum, specializing in creole cuisine. Starting in Boulder in 1980 by Chef Mickey Samuels and his mother Lucile, they experienced such great success that they started the Fort Collins location in 1996, run by Tony Hanks from Louisiana. Locations in Denver and Longmont were soon to follow...
