Last chance for snow lovers
Even with warmer temperatures in town, the higher elevations and backcountry still have snow lingering for quite some time during the spring. So rent your snowshoes and cross-country skis and get on up the Poudre Canyon for the last couple months of snowy fun! Popular spring snowshoe areas include Cameron Pass Trails and Blue Lake Trail. Rentals can be picked up from JAX Mercantile on your way to the canyon. Enjoy beautiful mountain views and prime backcountry recreation. Our winter recreation blog is a perfect place to start your planning.
Even with 310+ days of sunshine, we make sure to soak up the sun any chance we get. One of our favorite ways to do-so is by relaxing on the outdoor patio of our local restaurants. You will find that the majority of our restaurants/bars around town have patios and starting in the spring, they get filled up quickly. There’s nothing better than catching some rays while enjoying a tasty meal and/or sipping on a cool cocktail. Find a list of restaurants and bars in the Fort Collins area here.
