Plant a Tree

Beginning at 9am on Saturday, April 18, volunteers across Fort Collins can participate in Earth Day tree plantings along the Poudre River. No experience is required for this family-friendly activity, and snacks will be provided. Sign up to volunteer here.

Party for the Bees

The Fort Collins Whole Foods is hosting a bee-themed Earth Day party on Saturday, April 18 from 10am to 1pm. The event will feature Electronic Recycling by I.T. Refresh, free bike tune-ups by Peloton Cycles, kids bee activities, a compost giveaway, and presentations by the Northern Colorado Beekeepers Association. Find more information on Whole Foods' Facebook page.

Walk the Park

Celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 18 from 11:00 AM-5:00 PM at Civic Center Park with activities for the entire family that include informational booths, arts & crafts, live music, local food, and a beer garden. Visit the Sustainable Living Association website for more information.

Ride Your Bike

Commute to work on two wheels instead of four this Earth Day. If you don't have a bike of your own, you can rent one at the Fort Collins Bike Library at the Downtown Transit Center at 250 N. Mason Street. Bikes cost $10 per day and can be rented between 9am and 1pm. Click here for more details about the Fort Collins Bike Library.

Drink a Cocktail

Order a Hemingway Cocktail at The Mainline at 125 S. College Avenue. This cocktail features Dancing Pines Wilderness Rum, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and Maraschino liqueur. Dancing Pines Distillery plants a tree for every bottle of Wilderness Spirits sold.

Drink a Beer

For every keg that kicks on Earth Day at William Olivers Publick House, the bar will plant 10 trees through The Canopy Project. Find more information about the Empty a Keg Fill a Forest promotion here.
