For a fun, festive, family-oriented New Year’s Eve celebration, First Night Fort Collins is the place to be! As the tradition rings in its 14th year in downtown Fort Collins, you can join in the non-alcoholic festivities starting at 5 p.m. on Thurs. 12/31 with the Kids Countdown at the Fort Collins Museum (200 Mathews St.) and ending with a fireworks display in Old Town Square at 10:30 p.m. Entertainment abounds from 6 p.m. to 10:15 p.m., with various downtown venues hosting storytelling, live music, street and vaudeville performers, international dancing, interactive activities, and much more. Whether you’re young or young at heart, First Night promises to enchant you (this year’s theme is “Legends in the Night”). Admission to the participating venues is $10 and granted via your purchase of a commemorative button, available at King Soopers, the Lincoln Center Box Office, or Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream in downtown Fort Collins. Children 6 and under are free with a paying adult. For First Night lineup and venues, visit http://www.downtownfortcollins.com. Happy New Year!
